Google eBay Safe Browsing Report For eBay.com on 02/15/2013
Going shopping on eBay is somewhat like gambling. If you get a good deal you have won. But on the other hand, if you land on an infected page, you could loose your azz.
In theory, if your computer is up to date with it’s patches and service packs you should be safe. However if an external site is hacked to host a scammers content and not reported, your anti-virus software will not signal an alert.
If eBay cared about their shoppers safety they would rid the site of these infections. But i suppose it’s cheaper to let forum participants blame the victim for his/her stupidity. It’s long been said that eBay employs forum shills to discredit posters who have been defrauded.

Liveworld, eBay’s forum provider and moderator, did remove a post last night below the above that claimed this website has never been infected with spyware or malware. That’s a classic shill tactic to scare others. eBay want’s you to feel safe shopping on their website, and I’m sure they don’t want any of their shoppers visiting this site.
