If you have not already heard about it, George Zimmerman put up a website and is asking for donations for his legal defense fund, and living expenses.
Zimmerman wrote on his new website: therealgeorgezimmerman.com. “I cannot attest to the validity of the other websites.”
It has been confirmed that the site is real and is operated by Zimmerman himself. Domain records show the website was created Sunday using a Private registration service, and is hosted on GoDaddy.com servers.
Zimmerman is soliciting donations through PayPal with a promise that “any funds provided are used only for living expenses and legal defense, in lieu of my forced inability to maintain employment.”
As for George Zimmerman, he better have his charitable donation paperwork in order.
PayPal is world famous for FREEZING charitable donation account funds, holding them for up to six months while gaining interest on the seized account’s balance. That’s no joke either, just ask humor blog Regretsy.com how PayPal seized a Needy Children’s Christmas Fund, then there was the Wiki-leaks account seizure, etc etc etc.
Depending on how long it takes to build up a sizable amount of money in Zimmerman’s PayPal account, he might be able to see it grow huge before PayPal FREEZES It.
The account would seem to be used for purposes contrary to the Paypal Acceptable Use Policy: You may not use the PayPal service for activities that: (e) items that promote hate, violence, racial intolerance, or the financial exploitation of a crime.
